I’m so excited to share the images from this newborn session with you. This session was a lot of work, but I’m so in love with the images we created.
Little man did not want to sleep – in fact, we had to break up his session into two days, because he refused to sleep in the studio. When we decided to reschedule, I suggested we do the second half of his session at home, and it was definitely the right decision. It still took quite a bit of coaxing to convince him that he wanted to sleep, but the images we captured while waiting for him to fall asleep are some of my favorites, and wouldn’t have been possible in the studio. Since we did the session at home, I was able to incorporate their beautiful home and hardwood floors into the images.
This family has one of the coolest houses I’ve ever seen – it used to be a grocery store, and the layout architectural details inside are just amazing. And when we opened up the doors to the upstairs balcony, the lighting was perfect for portraits.
Once Quint finally fell asleep, he stayed asleep for a while and allowed me to pose him in various crates and baskets without making a peep.
