When Keisha called me to schedule her family session and began to explain her family’s style, I knew we were going to click. One of the reasons they chose to live in Durham is because they love the urban vibe the city has to offer. They wanted their family portrait session to reflect that same vibe. I was thrilled, because I love love LOVE urban portrait sessions!
We almost had to reschedule the session because the clouds were super thick and threatening rain, but since Keisha had spent a couple of hours straightening her daughter’s hair, we decided to give it a try. I brought along my reflectors and my off camera flash, and we gave it a go. I’m so glad we did! These are some of my favorite family portraits of all time! I love everything about this session – the location, the clothing, the GORGEOUS family, and the obvious love they all feel for one another worked together to create genuine portrait magic.
