Have I ever mentioned how much I love maternity sessions? Well, if I have, please bear with me while I repeat myself. I absolutely LOVE to photograph maternity sessions.
I was excited for this session from the moment Michelle called me to discuss the ideas she had for her session. She was full of creative I ideas, and I was beyond thrilled to have the opportunity to help bring her vision to life. She was also incredibly open to my ideas, and I think between the two of us, we managed to create some truly beautiful images.
It was such an honor to meet Michelle – she is absolutely gorgeous both inside and out. Not only does she have the most perfect little baby bump, but she also has a great sense of style – I love the outfits she chose for her session. And she had fabulous shoes to match – we were both rocking a pair of leopard print flats out in the field (perhaps not the best idea while traipsing through tall grasses, but we suffered together for the sake of being fashionable).
She was a wee bit nervous about walking through the grass in said field, but she trusted my creativity, and we had fun squealing together in excitement over the sneak peeks I showed her from the back of the camera. Then we headed back to the studio for the rest of the session.
Michelle chose a beautiful middle name for her baby girl, which means Lily, and she wanted to incorporate lilies into her session. Her father chose a Bible verse specifically for her baby, which we also incorporated into the session.
It was almost impossible for me to narrow down my favorites from this session to share on the blog. I wish I could share them all with you, but here are some of my very favorites. This stunning mama-to-be chose my Belly to Baby collection, which means I also had the chance to photograph her newborn when she was about a week old. I can’t wait to share those images with you – her sweet baby girl is absolutely GORGEOUS!!
